Mani Mondays – US Thanksgiving

mani

it’s Monday, and this Thursday is our Thanksgiving here in the United States. i can’t believe it’s already here! i haven’t even gone grocery shopping yet! well, i only have two dishes to make for Thanksgiving dinner at a friend’s house this year, but we’re planning on getting to their house early so we can help out as she told me what she was making and holy moly, i’m going to be in a food coma! anyway, to commemorate our Thanksgiving (since Canada’s Thanksgiving was in October), i chose two colors that i think are Thanksgiving (or rather, Fall) appropriate.

even though it was part of the holiday collection from 2009 (Holiday Wishes), to me the color is more Fallish, than Winterish. on all my fingers, i chose OPI Ginger Bells, which is a dark orange-caramel-pumpkin cream. then on my ring finger (accent nail) and thumb nail, i topped it with butterLONDON in Scuppered which is a bronze-gold shimmer with green glitter flecks. it’s actually opaque on its own, but i had already painted it with Ginger Bells so i just added a layer of Scuppered on top.

i’m still improving my lighting situation. i put the lamp on my lap and pointed it directly onto the white background where i held my hand in front of. totally ghetto setup! LOL i just wanted to get rid of any shadow, but i think the pictures are slowly getting better and better! maybe? i really just need to suck it up and make a light box because all this finagling is getting ridiculous! HA! also, this is the first time in 3 days that i actually painted my nails! my nails were paint free all weekend except for Nail Magic.

i hope you all have a great holiday week! i think school is out this week for most of the states (it is over here) and it’ll also be a short work-week for the workforce. i think hubby is actually working on Friday (but he has taken off Christmas Eve and New Years Eve). thanks for stopping by! XOXO Kathleen
